2007 Continued Global Expansion T. Rowe Price opens an office in Toronto, Canada, enhancing the firm's service capabilities for a growing list of Canadian clients. The firm also enters into an arrangement with a respected asset management firm in India. |

2006 Management Transition and Continuity James Kennedy is elected president and chief executive officer of the firm, completing a multi-year succession plan that also sees Brian Rogers and Edward Bernard elected chairman of the board and vice chairman, respectively. The election follows the retirement of Chairman and President George Roche. |

2004 European and Australian Expansion T. Rowe Price establishes an office in Amsterdam to supplement existing locations in London and Copenhagen. A new office in Sydney supports a growing presence in Australia and New Zealand. |

2003 Retirement Funds The firm introduces the target-date Retirement Funds. Underpinning the funds is an asset allocation strategy developed through proprietary research and quantitative modeling. The funds set new records for asset growth, reaching $8 billion within two years. |

Rowe Price International, Inc.—enhances the firm's ability to distribute investment products outside the United States. To further support this effort, the firm creates T. 1937 Firm Established Thomas Rowe Price, Jr., founds the firm in Baltimore, Maryland, U.S.A. Rather than charge a commission, as was then the practice in the securities business, Mr. Price charges a fee based on the assets under management. If the client prospers, so does T. Rowe Price. The core of Mr. Price's disciplined investment approach—long-term focus, proprietary research, and prudent risk management—endures to this day. |
