Volunteering

T. Rowe Price offers a variety of volunteer opportunities throughout the year when associates can devote company time to a range of worthy causes in their communities. Our values of teamwork and service foster a 43% participation rate among our associates annually. Our associate volunteer teams have contributed many hours to building better communities, educating and motivating our children, and promoting health and wellness—all while enhancing the spirit of collaboration within our firm.

Giving

T. Rowe Price has a long tradition of philanthropy and investment in the communities where our associates live and work. Central to this tradition is the T. Rowe Price Associates Foundation. Launched in 1981, the Foundation provides direct grants to U.S.-based nonprofit organizations that enhance community life through education, arts and culture, human services, and civic and community initiatives. Globally, nonprofit organizations receive support from our associates through a generous Matching Gift Program. Our history of giving in our communities is strong—and consistent with our firm's goals and values.

Leading

Our community involvement includes more than volunteering and donating. We also provide leadership support to schools and other nonprofit organizations in our communities. Serving as board members or trustees, associates across the firm lend their talents and unique skills—from technology, to marketing, to financial management—to help build organizational capacity in community agencies. Our firm helps to facilitate the match of associates with nonprofit organizations searching for board members and also provides guidance and support to our associates to help them hone their leadership skills.

Educating

We believe that fostering educational excellence is the greatest investment we can make in our communities. Our associates work collaboratively with nonprofits and directly with schools to promote academic success through mentoring, tutoring, and board service. Further, our commitment to educational excellence is emphasized by the T. Rowe Price Foundation, from which education and youth development organizations receive the largest percentage of grants and matching gifts. Foundation grants support scholarships as well as in-school and out-of-school programs for students engaged in primary, secondary, and post-secondary education.
